  1. Assessment methods

Plan, design, create and present information using ICT: e.g. Retell a story using ICT

Research, access, and retrieve information using ICT: e.g. Conduct a simple internet search on water conservation methods

Express creativity and construct new knowledge using ICT: e.g. Express ones feelings about being in a single-parent home using a multimedia production

Explore and develop problem-solving strategies using ICT: e.g. Develop counting from 0-100 forwards and backwards

  2. Assessment Ideas:

    1. Use visual communication techniques and digital media to help students develop an engaging presentation which clearly communicates their knowledge and ideas. An example of use is students creating a visual advertisement displaying a known product in the target language.

    2. Brainstorm what they know about a topic and identify questions for further inquiry through the creation of a mind map. An example is of students creating a mind map via Mindmeister for vocabulary associated with shopping.

    3. Support their learning with the use of an ICT tool of their choice. For example, the students will create a song, poem or drawing to explain a grammar concept.

    4. Connect real-life issues to content using a selected ICT medium. Students may be asked to contribute to a forum in the target language.

    5. Research information about the topic and share this new information in an ICT tool of their choice. Students may be asked to compare the school system in a French country with the school system in Antigua & Barbuda and share that information using the ICT medium of their choice.
